All Details About Patch 7.7.0 in Dead by Daylight

The biggest changes brought to Dead by Daylight in Patch 7.7.0 are Tome 19, Premium Rift Rewards, Store updates, Gameplay changes, and a Game Engine upgrade.

Tome 19: Splendor

In Dead by Daylight Tome 19: Splendor, you will gain more memories of The Artist, Zarina Kassir, and The Entity.

The artist could never understand why her mother left their family, but she knew her father held her responsible. There was a lot of fighting, secrets, and men in black cars. The crows always seemed to follow her, and her father hid something. Did her mother indeed abandon them, or did she disappear?

Despite the challenges of living in a new country and her complex behavior growing up, Zarina Kassir’s parents were always loving and understanding. She would never forget the lessons they taught her, nor the tragic day her world fell apart.

In addition, new stories from The House of Arkham will help you discover more secrets about The Entity and its Realms.

Premium Rift Rewards

Premium Rift Rewards during Tome 19 include a Trapper Outfit, The Trapper’s Cash, which unlocks upon subscribing to Premium Rift Track, and an Ultra Rate The Doctor outfit, which you can earn by finishing the Premium Rift Track.

You can also unlock outfits from the Gold and Silk Collection for the following Killers:

  • The Artist.
  • The Trickster.
  • The Skull Merchant.

You can also unlock outfits from the Gold and Silk Collection for the following Survivors:

  • Zarina Kassir.
  • Nea Karlsson.
  • Mikaela Reid.
  • Jake Park.
  • Yui Kimura.

You can purchase the Premium Rift Track for 1,000 Auric Cells from the Dead by Daylight in-game store.

Store Update

One of the biggest changes coming to Patch 7.7.0 in Dead by Daylight is the improvement to the in-game store to make it a better spending experience.

First, the store has received a visual makeover and is now better organized with tabs to help you navigate all the Killer and Survivor-related items. Additionally, you’ll have access to Killer Mori animations, giving you an idea of what they look like in-game. Lastly, a free weekly gift will be available, so make sure to visit the store every week!

The store now has standard pricing for all cosmetics based on their Rarity. This change will lower the price for most cosmetics, except for a few items. This makes it easier to know how much you will spend on an entire outfit or specific pieces.

Gameplay Changes

The most significant gameplay updates are for two killers, three perks, and two maps.

Killer Updates

The Twins’ major update now makes switching between them more responsive, as you can recall Victor whenever you want. In addition, Victor is more geared towards injuring multiple survivors, as he can injure and down the same survivors without needing to be swapped to Charlotte first.

Perk Updates

The Blight’s update strictly affects his collision detection, so players have less of a chance to slide off objects when attempting to end his Rush. However, this means you can no longer lunge around tight corners or slide along obstacles you weren’t supposed to.

Decisive Strike receives a new stabbing animation that makes it feel more realistic. However, to fix an issue where the animation caused the Survivor to have less time to run away, its stun duration has been increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds.

Adrenaline received three changes to its effects when triggered:

  1. It no longer activates when you are on a hook, and another Survivor powers on the gates.
  2. The speed boost duration is now only 3 seconds.
  3. You will no longer wake up from The Nightmare when it is activated.

Ultimate Weapon will now reveal Survivor auras instead of making them scream. Its activation is now only 15 seconds. Finally, its cooldown has doubled in time, increasing to 80/70/60 seconds from 40/35/30 seconds.

Map Updates

The two biggest changes are to the Haddonfield and Yamaoka Estate maps.

The overall size of Haddonfield has been reduced, and the length of fences and hedges has been shortened by adding more openings to traverse the map. The number of houses on the map has been reduced to only include those you can enter. This change will reduce the strength of some loops available to Survivors. However, additional lockers and pallets have been added to the edge of the map to make up for the changes to the number of houses being reduced. These changes will alter the dynamic of how The Killer and Survivors play the map and should lead to exciting strategies.

Last year, Behavior Interactive asked players to vote on which animal they wanted to be added to the Yamaoka Estate maps to celebrate DbD Day. The winning animal was the Tanuki, which will now be added to all maps, but beware, it isn’t as friendly as you think!

Upgrade to Unreal Engine 5

Behaviour Interactive upgrading Dead by Daylight to Unreal Engine 5 may come as a surprise to players. This hasn’t been mentioned much and is nested in the patch notes. This upgrade was done in preparation for future features and improvements, so you most likely won’t notice any differences for now. However, next-gen console players will see an immediate benefit as the total size of Dead by Daylight has been reduced by 18gbs saving them a ton of valuable hard drive space.
