At the London MCM Comic Con, Rising Star Games revealed a surprising addition to its booth—DJMax Encore for 3DS.

The game’s name could be a possible reference to the return of DJ Max Portable for PSP, which was released in 2006 in South Korea.

From the pictures shown at the convention, it seems that the game will follow the basic action-rhythm video game format, having the player press buttons in time with the beat of a song.

The game’s menu and interface design suggest that it could be based on DJMax Portable 2 or DJMax Portable Hot Tunes.

Neo Wiz Games and Rocky Studio announced earlier in May that DJ Max Respect would release for PS4 in January 2017.

Since the official announcement has not been made, explicit details are few and far between for the game. However, with more DJMax being released, rhythm game fans should rejoice.
