The story and gameplay trailer below gives fans more of an understanding of the story than they’ve had before and also re-introduces two characters from the original Monster Hunter Stories, Lilla and Reverto.

The Digital Event, which can be found here, provided a thorough overview of the mechanics in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin and the strategic turn-based combat the game will feature. Players can take advantage of different attack types for different enemies, and they have the ability to combine attacks with their monsters for strong, battle-ending moves.

Capcom’s wildly successful Monster Hunter series just recently added to the momentum that began in Monster Hunter World with the release of Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch. The upcoming release of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is likely to keep it charging ahead.

The Digital Event didn’t stop with Stories 2, however. Capcom released more details on what’s coming next for Monster Hunter Rise, along with the reveal of crossover content for players who connect their Monster Hunter 2 Stories: Wings of Ruin save data with their Monster Hunter Rise save data.
