It is October, and we are getting closer to Halloween. To help celebrate, you can pick up an exclusive shiny Gengar at GameStop this month.

Until October 26th, Pokémon players can bring their Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games to GameStop to pick up a special shiny Gengar. This Gengar comes with a Gengarite so players can mega-evolve it into a sick looking white color.

This Gengar is special in that it comes with the attack Sludge Wave, a move that it does not normally learn. When it mega-evolves, it gains the ability Shadow Tag, which keeps the opponents Pokémon from being able switch out or flee.

As mentioned before, the Gengar event lasts until October 26th. Soon after, however, another Pokémon distribution will begin. From October 27th to November 16th, gamers can pick up the legendary Pokémon Diancie at GameStop. Transferring it to the upcoming Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will give gamers a chance to mega-evolve it. You can see more about the Diancie event here.

A third Pokémon event is available to help trainers celebrate Halloween. Until the 31st of October, a special Pumpkaboo is available for downloaded through the Mystery Gift function in Pokémon X and Y.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release on the 3DS and 2DS November 21st. You can see about getting early access to the demo for these games here.
