Tekken 8’s Jack-8 Pummels the Competition in Newest Trailer

Everyone's favorite mass-produced brawler is back in Tekken 8.

Jack-8 is back with a vengeance in Bandai Namco’s upcoming Tekken 8. As spotted in the previous trailer for Lars Alexandersson, Jack-8 is known for being a powerhouse brawler that bucks the trend of being a grappler and has been in every Tekken installment with a new look. That isn’t changing here, and he’s pummeling the competition.

Sporting a more futuristic vibe here, Jack-8 initially doesn’t seem much different from his Tekken 7 counterpart Jack-7. All of his slow overheads and devastating forward thrust attacks are back in full force. Where things start to change is when it comes to Jack’s critical art. The massive railgun he brings into battle during his introduction cutscene gets whipped out and it blasts his opponent into kingdom come.

Tekken has always been a cutting-edge game when it comes to graphics, but Unreal Engine 5 is on another level, highlighted best so far by Jack-8’s gameplay reveal trailer. All of the machinery that Jack-8 is made of just pops like never before. He truly looks like an unstoppable killing machine, though I’m sure the Mishima clan will have something to say about that.

Bandai Namco is pumping out the character trailers lately, with King, Marshall Law, and Jin just several of the fighters getting their own showcases so far. Tekken 8 is planned for release in 2024 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Stay tuned for more fighter gameplay reveals as they’re released.
