Square Enix, the developer of Final Fantasy series, has announced that World of Final Fantasy will be released on in October 25th in North America, October 27th in Japan, and October 28th in Europe.
World of Final Fantasy will be set in a world called “Grimoire”, where many characters and settings from the previous Final Fantasy games can bee seen. There will be two protagonists Ren and Ran, and they will travel with monsters that are known as “Mirages”.
The game’s battle system will be based on Active Time Battle (ATB) while adding some real time battle characteristics. The players can stack the monsters upon each other inside a battle, and each stack with different combinations has special abilities that affect the battle. This stacking system was first suggested by the producer Shinji Hashimoto.
World of Final Fantasy will be released for PS4 and PS Vita. The header video of this article is the E3 trailer, which was released alongside the announcement of the release dates.
