The latest 1.12.2 update for Minecraft has arrived! Although no significant changes have been added to the game except for the "Java Edition" subtitle and a few minor bug fixes, there are tons of cool new places you can explore right now.
It looks like some randomness has been added to the woodland mansions, as now they'll spawn covered in trees or just plainly manifest on the surface of the rivers and swamplands. But other than that, this is the same old adventurous Minecraft you're used to, and here's your monthly dose of the top 20 seeds for October 2017.
If you still haven't checked our previous listicles, then here they are:
Spawn on a huge island that could be easily mistaken for a mainland given its massive size. This piece of land accommodates 7 villages and 8 desert temples. Most of the villages are located in the savanna biome, and here are their coordinates:
The desert temples are scattered on the random patches of the desert biome with the following coordinates:
From the spawn point all you need to do is go up north. The first point of interest is the village at coordinates 264 120. The next one is another village at coordinates 312 -264, but this time with a blacksmith and some nice treasure:
The final point is the woodland mansion at coordinates 333 -680 that is covered by a lush roofed forestry.
Here's the Minecraft seed for those who like to survive on the islands. You will spawn on the mainland, but not too far into the ocean there are four different islands, each with a different biome.
The first island at coordinates -808 -728 is made up of savanna, and it also has a village standing on top of it. The second one is a desert island located at coordinates -950 -250.
The third island is made of extreme hills at coordinates -750 200, and the last one is a mushroom island just a bit to the west at coordinates -1400 -250.
You will spawn in the central part of the large ice plains biome. There is a frozen river with an igloo standing right on top of it at coordinates 332 133. This igloo has an underground chamber with a chest holding:
If you keep moving in the eastern direction, you will end up at the border of the plains biome with a village at coordinates 1096 -408.
Spawn in the middle of the roofed forest that borders with a desert biome in the eastern direction. There at coordinates 600 712 you will find a desert temple and a village standing next to each other rather close.
The smithy's chest in the village is not particularly exciting, but the four chests inside the temple are just what you may be looking for:
Spawn in the middle of the roofed forest biome that covers some extensive ground. About a thousand blocks to the east, at coordinates 1770 585 you will discover a pretty large woodland mansion.
There are a few hidden rooms inside with a neat chest at coordinates 1714 68 593 with the following items inside:
To the north from the mansion there is a small patch of swampland with a witch hut at coordinates 1816 328.
You will spawn on a tiny survival island that stands very close to the mainland, which primarily consists of the jungle biome. Along the shore line you will discover five jungle temples with the following coordinates:
After pillaging all five temples you will end up with the following loot:
Village with a dungeon entrance at spawn! The cave system underneath the village will lead you to an abandoned mineshaft that contains a couple of great chests at coordinates 243 23 310 and 258 21 348. Take your time and loot them all for the following items:
You will spawn on one of the two vastly different survival islands that stand right next to each other. One is covered with lots of trees, while the other one is a whole new biome -- a mushroom island.
This is a truly odd coincidence that happens extremely rarely, and usually mushroom islands spawn away from the rest of the biomes. But here it is in all its glory!
Spawn on a middle-sized island that is located to the south of the giant mesa biome at coordinates -620 164. To the north of the mesa zone you will find a woodland mansion standing on the patch of a swampland at coordinates -1036 -870.
The cool thing about this mansion is that it has not one, not two, but three giant golem heads made of wool. Here are their exact coordinates:
Double igloo with a treasure basement near spawn! The first igloo is located just a bit south from the initial point at coordinates 180 246, and the second one can be found up north at coordinates -222 -400.
As already mentioned, the first igloo has a secret chamber underneath with a chest inside. The second one is without the basement, but is located in a truly picturesque area.
Here's what you will find in the first igloo:
Spawn on the very edge of the jungle biome that hides three jungle temples under its densely populated trees. The coordinates to all three of them are as follows:
These temples are particularly valuable, as there's a lot of gold and iron to be found among other cool things, such as:
Double village and a desert temple near spawn! The first village is stationed in the desert at coordinates 120 8. It's a small village, so there is no blacksmith present. However, the temple nearby is full of goodies:
The second village shares a border with mesa and savanna biomes, and this one does have a blacksmith.
Spawn on the edge of the mega taiga biome with lots of wood around. To the east stands a vast ocean with an island and a lone desert temple on top of it at coordinates 712 24.
This temple's treasure chests generate an unusual amount of golden apples, and a few other items. Here is the complete list:
Spawn on the surface of a thin and long island with some decent amount of wood. Right next to the island spawns an ocean monument with a solid block of gold that can be found at coordinates 248 42 270.
If you're not scared to explore the underground world, then you can dig right underneath the monument that will lead you to an abandoned mineshaft and a chest at coordinates 216 32 86 that holds a golden apple.
You will spawn right next to a cozy little village standing at the edge of the taiga biome. To the north of the spawn point, at coordinates -800 -600, a woodland mansion occupies a massive chunk of the local river.
Right under the building you will find a zombie dungeon at coordinates -799 53 -585. There is a huge chest inside that contains:
Double village at spawn! The first one is located at coordinates 200 212 in the most resplendid little flower valley surrounded by mountains. The second one stands at coordinates 80 -136 and is just as picturesque.
Both villages are really tiny and consist of only a few buildings and farms, but the life inside them boils with excitement in the form of NPCs and domestic animals.
Spawn on the border of the jungle biome with 4 jungle temples in the close vicinity. Just follow the south-eastern trail and you should spot them all at the following coordinates:
Here's what you will find inside the chests hidden in the murky corridors of all four temples:
Spawn in an area with three villages. The first and the closest one is located at coordinates 296 312. There is a blacksmith with a great chest containing the following items:
The other two villages are located at coordinates -232 -168 and -392 696, but unfortunately none of them have smithies of their own.
Half-buried desert temple at spawn! That's right, as soon as you spawn in this Minecraft seed, you will look straight at the desert templewith some neat loot that is hidden in its treasure chamber:
