Landfall games psychics based truckformer title, Clustertruck releases next week on Win, Mac, Linux and SteamOS. The game will be published by tinyBuild and is scheduled for release on September 27.
What is Clustertruck?
In Clustertruck you must jump from truck to truck in a game of “the floor is lava”. The objective is simple, reach the end of the level without falling off the trucks. The problem is, the trucks are driven by extremely bad drivers. The lack of driving skills, resulting in trucks crashing and even falling off cliffs.
To make things ever more difficult, as you progress you will also have to avoid obstacles. These obstacles include swinging hammers, lasers, and flamethrowers. To help you succeed you will be able to unlock abilities including the Grappling Hook, Truck Cannon, and Time Control.
What are Clustertruck’s features?
The game has a host of interesting features including:
- A campaign mode that gradually gets more and more evil
- Unlock new abilities such as the Grappling Hook, Truck Cannon, and Time Control
- An in-game level editor
- Steam Workshop support for sharing player-made levels
- A replay system
- Online Leader Boards
- 90 unique levels
- 9 different worlds
From the list of features, the game is offering arcade fun. As if the game itself doesn’t sound interesting enough, once player created levels begin to emerge, things will escalate accordingly.
Are you joining the chaos?
Clustertruck appears to be one of the most over the top titles released. The game’s focus is for the player to cause as much damage as possible via crashes. Interestingly enough, the player is unable to touch anything other than trucks and failing to do will result in losing the stage.
It’ll be interesting to see what amusing and different level that the community is going to come up with. If Mario Maker is anything to go by, there is going to be some challenging and tense moments.
