Smart Ping is a radial menu that includes four new alerts you can use to better communicate with your team. Split second communication is a key to success in League of Legends, and with Smart Ping you’ll spend less time typing and more time dominating your opponents.

First, let me just say that it’s pretty nice to be able to use this feature on either the regular map or the mini-map. However, I’m still somewhat nervous about trying to keep these straight in my mind as I furiously press all the other buttons for my abilities.

I haven’t gotten the chance to try them out in game yet, but rest assured that as soon as I have an opinion about them I will be following up.

Riot has also announced their Mac Open Beta, which is now live and downloadable through the link.
