It seems that Naughty Dog has revealed a bit more about the focus of Uncharted 4‘s story. Neil Druckmann, writer and creative director of Uncharted 4, has revealed that the story will focus on Nathan Drake’s personal issue of choosing between following his passion and spending time with the people he loves.

As cheesy and dramatic as it sounds, a solid theme like that for the story sounds like a lot of care and effort has been put into Uncharted 4, as it should be. During the interview with OPM Druckmann stated

“With Uncharted 4, as we were building it we were realizing more and more what the theme is: it’s that balance between pursuing your passions and being with the ones you love, and what happens when you have to choose between those two things”

Clearly Druckmann is giving fans just a bit of insight to keep them hooked and interested in Uncharted 4 as he added s there a way to reconcile that? That’s the message of this game, and everything is constructed around that very simple concept.”

This has just been one of many small details revealed about Uncharted 4 that have been released in the past month. Uncharted 4 is going to hit shelves on March 18th, exclusively for PlayStation 4. Naughty Dog has explained why the game was delayed from 2015 to 2016 and although they have stated that Uncharted 4 is the final game starring Drake, they say its hard to imagine the series without Drake. Hopefully Naughty Dog will keep giving us some information that gives fans a clearer picture of what to expect for the next installment in the Uncharted series.

I'm a recent graduate from Kenyon College with an English Major, emphasis in Creative Writing, and a History Minor. I love video games passionately. I love most games, a little iffy on Sport Games. The first game I can remember playing was either Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64 or the first Harry Potter computer game. The first console/gaming device I can remember owning was a Gameboy Advance and I loved my Pokemon Silver game to death.
