Four upcoming free-to-play games worth your attention.

Free to Play, or "F2P", is becoming the go to pricing model for many game developers. We've seen a burst in games ranging in genres from MMORPGs to MOBAs. With games such as League of Legends, Hearth Stone, and Tera Online F2P doesn't have to sacrifice quality in exchange of price. On that note, here are four upcoming F2P games that should be worth your time.

Tree of Savior

Platform: PC, Steam

Release Window: TBA 

If you've read my previous article on Tree of Savior, you know how excited I am for this game. Tree of Savior is the spiritual successor to Ragnarok Online. The game features 80+ character classes, stunning 2.5D graphics, controller support, and massive world inhabitant by plenty of enemies and monsters. 

The game just finished up a North American closed beta, but no release date has been announced yet. Fingers crossed for an announcement soon. 


Black Desert 

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4

Release Date: 2016 (NA)(EU) 

Black Desert is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated F2P MMORPG of 2016. The Korean sandbox MMO sports a robust features such as:

A character creation system unlike any to date.

A fast paced vicious combat system.

A seamless open-world sandbox. 

And many more outstanding features that makes this Triple-A title worth your attention. 


Overwatch

Platform: PC, Mac OS 

Release Date: TBA 

 Overwatch is a free-to-play FPS coming from the house that made Warcraft and Diablo. Blizzard's goal is to make an amazing FPS experience that's more accessible to a wider audience. The game will rely heavily on 6v6 squad-based combat. So far there are sixteen confirmed heroes to choose from, all with a skills and abilities to master. Look forward to more on Overwatch as we reach closer to it's Fall beta. 


Peria Chronicles, AKA Project N1

Platform: PC

Western Release: Unconfirmed 

Peria Chronicles is Korea's answer to Everquest Next. This game might be the least known name on this list, but is definitely worth looking into. The game has beautiful cell-shaded anime graphics. The game will sport a Pokemon esque battle system, a huge sandbox world, play made content, creatures to capture, and player ran villages. There has yet to be an official confirmation for a North American release, but figures crossed that we'll get one.
