If you haven’t hopped into the LEGO and Fortnite collab mode yet, you might not know what you’re getting into. It’s a far cry from the battle royale mode, and things are more Minecrafty. But the burning question is: Are there guns in LEGO Fortnite? Let’s find out.

Can You Get Guns in LEGO Fortnite?

If you haven’t taken the plunge yet, know that LEGO Fortnite is more akin to Minecraft than it is to what we’ve known Fortnite as over the past few years. The mode’s focus is more on exploration, building, and cooperation with friends than the game’s battle royale and creative modes.

It would be fun for some of Fortnite‘s best known guns to make it into the game in a later update, but as it stands, there are no guns in LEGO Fortnite. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any weapons, just there aren’t any guns for you to play with.

What Ranged Weapons are in Fortnite LEGO? Answered

You do have to defend yourself in this game, though, and there are options. If you want to shoot enemies from afar, there’s one reliable option I can think of: the Recurve Crossbow. There are other weapons, but the Recurve Crossbow is the closest thing you’ll get to a regular ranged weapon. There are, of course, some surprises to be found! But I won’t spoil those, and none of them are guns like you’re probably thinking of.

LEGO Fortnite features tons of melee weapons you can get early on to help you survive, and you’ll get access to some of them fairly early. There just aren’t any guns, which is appropriate to the LEGO brand, all things considered.

It’s looking like this particular mode will be a permanent fixture, as Epic and LEGO partnered last year to make this mode happen. Who knows if we’ll get guns in LEGO Fortnite eventually, but there’s plenty to do and explore for now. Look for more LEGO Fortnite guides here on GameSkinny.
