The notoriety gauge has three different levels indicated with different icons. Different dangers will appear depending on your notoriety level.

  • Level 1: Basim may be identified by civilians, leading them to alert the guards. You’ll also notice Wanted Posters cropping up on certain walls throughout Baghdad.
  • Level 2: Guards become more perceptive, making it easier for them to spot you. Archers will appear on rooftops, and civilians are more inclined to report your activities to the authorities. Additionally, an increased number of Wanted Posters appear, drawing the attention of civilians.
  • Level 3: At the highest notoriety level, the formidable Shakiriyya guard is dispatched to hunt you down. Guards become highly likely to detect Basim, and civilians tend to congregate around the Wanted Posters, greatly increasing the chances of them recognizing you and notifying the guards.

There are two ways that you can lower your notoriety so you can stay undetected. The first way to lower it is by taking down the Wanted Posters around Baghdad. Taking down one poster will decrease your level by one. So if your notoriety level is at three you’ll need to take down three posters.
