Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Find the Sharran Lookout

Before you face Shadowheart's former cloister, you need to meet the Sharran Lookout in Baldur's Gate 3.

Regardless of the choice made with Nightsong, Shadowheart wants to find the Sharrans in Baldur’s Gate. This objective is updated in your quest journal for “Daughter of Darkness.” However, the location of the lookout she mentions isn’t clear. Here’s how to find the Sharran Lookout in Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 3, who will send Shadowheart to the next part of her personal quest.

How to Find the Sharran Lookout in Baldur’s Gate 3

After dealing with Nightsong, Shadowheart’s next stop is the site of her former coven. She needs to find the Sharran lookout to point her in the right direction.

Head to the Rivington Waypoint

The wording in the journal for this section of “Daughter of Darkness” makes it seem like the Sharran Lookout is in Wyrm’s Crossing. However, you’ll want to go to the Rivington Waypoint instead of the Wyrm’s Crossing Waypoint. The lookout is on the east side of Rivington, but he won’t say anything when you walk by him.

The NPC you’re looking for is named Ferg Drogher, a Peddler of Momentos. Talk to him, and he’ll direct you to the location of Shadowheart’s Sharran cloister. Or former cloister, depending on your choices in Act 2. After speaking with Ferg, “Daughter of Darkness” will update with the objective to find the House of Grief in the Lower City section of Baldur’s Gate.

Speak with Ferg Before Heading to the House of Grief

Even if you go to the House of Grief first, you might not be able to progress without talking to Ferg first. I can’t say for sure if it’s a bug that this step to find Sharran has to be done before you can deal with the cloister. It could be intentional.

The cloister would presumably know it’s Shadowheart on sight when she walks in even if the lookout hasn’t returned to tell them that she’s in the city. However, that was the case in my game. I couldn’t progress her quest without completing this step first.

That’s all you need to know about how to find the Sharran Lookout in Baldur’s Gate 3. You might want to consider speaking with him right when you enter Rivington so you don’t have to backtrack later.
