The chaos of Waukeen’s Rest can make it difficult to find the Zhentarim Hideout entrance to complete the “Find the Missing Shipment” quest, but you’ll be able to trade with the merchant for magic items if you bring the Caravan Strongbox with you instead of opening it. However, your journey won’t end with meeting the Zhentarim members as they’ll ask you to finish the delivery for them since you already have the shipment. How to Find the Zhentarim Hideout in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Zhentarim Hideout is tucked away in Waukeen’s Rest, and if you don’t go there before leaving Act 1, you’ll miss the chance.
Grab the Caravan Strongbox
You don’t have to grab the missing shipment, but doing so will make it easier to gain entrance to the hideout. You’ll find it in the cave of Gnolls to the east of Waukeen’s Rest on Risen Road. Just make sure that you pick up the shipment rather than open it as opening it will make you an enemy of the Zhentarim, meaning you’ll have to fight them when you get to the hideout.
Get the Hideout Key
Once you have the shipment, return to the manor at Waukeen’s Rest and use the path between the north and west buildings. You’ll find a building that has crates and barrels in front of the door. This is the entrance to the hideout, and you can simply hop over the not-quite barricade.
Inside, the Zhentarim member will recognize that you have their missing shipment and give you a key to the hideout, saying that it’s behind the wardrobe. Use the hatch in the same room to get into what looks like a storage room. The wardrobe he mentioned is in the corner, and you’ll know it’s the right one because you’ll see a lock when you hover over it. Unlock it, and you’re in the hideout.
