Best Skills in Another Crab’s Treasure

Here are the best skills to take first in Another Crab's Treasure.

I absolutely love the skill tree in Another Crab’s Treasure because it’s filled with active and meaningful abilities rather than negligible passive bonuses. Still, there are some superb skills you should pick up as fast as possible. Here are the best skills in Another Crab’s Treasure.

What Are the Best Skills in Another Crab’s Treasure?

From what I’ve experienced, the best way to play Another Crab’s Treasure is with an M shell and a mix of dodging and parrying. This is because you can’t block all attacks, and dodging gets tricky with some buggy and wonky enemy attack animations. Therefore, the best skills to get first are those that provide a mix of additional mobility and defensive options.

Here are the best skills in Another Crab’s Treasure you should get ASAP:

  • Streamline: Allows you to Airdash, which drastically increases your combat mobility.
  • Parry and Riposte: Unlocks perfect blocking, parrying, and counterattacking for massive damage. These along with the Airdash are the two core mobility and defensive features of the combat system that I recommend for bosses like the Royal Shellsplitter.
  • Scrap Hammer: For those who want to focus on physical strikes I would suggest rushing to Scrap Hammer for 40 skill points in the top right. You have to pick up Skewer and Plunge but it’s worth it because Scrap Hammer will drastically increase your DPS for melee attacks.
  • Housewarming: For those who want to focus on Umami spells I would suggest rushing to Housewarming in for 30 skill points in the top left. It’s above Streamline and this skill will allow you to use many more Umami spells because you’ll get a free one on each shell. Quickly switching Shells is already a crucial aspect of the game so this skill synergizes perfectly.
  • Self-Repair: This is universally useful on all builds, especially in prolonged boss fights. Self-Repair turns the game into Bloodborne, where you’re looking to deal damage back as soon as you’re hit to recover Shell health. This allows you to last much longer in a fight by negating the mistakes you made through taking damage.
  • Spearfishing: Allows you to use your hook on enemies. This is a much-needed ranged option on all builds, especially non-MSG ones.

That’s it for the best skills in Another Crab’s Treasure. For more content, check out Another Crab’s Treasure guides like best stowaways early or how to use Barbed Hooks.
