Petting Cats

As you travel across Japan, you’ll come across multiple cats that you can pick up and pet. They can be tricky to find so make sure to look closely. Some of them can be scared off if you’re too loud so you’ll also have to be quiet.

Fighting Fugitives

There will be multiple Fugitives that you can defeat that will reward you with Silver Coins. However, they’re difficult enemies, so make sure you’re prepared. Sometimes, defeating a Fugitive will also reward you with a new Fighting Style.

Pilgrim Dogs

When you unlock The Longhouse in Yokohama, you’ll unlock the ability to use Pilgrim Dogs. You can send these cute pups out on missions to explore Shrines in your stead. After a certain amount of time they’ll come back and give you resources, which will include a Silver Coin.

Photograph Missions

Each region in Rise of the Ronin will have a certain amount of photo locations. If you use your camera and take pictures of these locations you’ll grab yourself some Silver Coins.

Playing Co-Op Missions

Specific missions allow you to play online in a Co-Op mode with friends or strangers. You can access the missions in The Longhouse, or it’ll be prompted before some story missions. Once they’re completed, your entire party will be rewarded with Silver Coins.

Best Way to Get Silver Coins

The best way to get Silver Coins in Rise of the Ronin is to find Cats. Each time you find and pet a cat, you’ll receive three Silver Coins. These cats are all over the place, so you’ll always be able to find a few, no matter what you’re doing.

If you reach a Bond Level of 3 within a region, your map will display the location of all the cats. This is perfect if you only have a few cats left in the region.
