Cult of the Lamb: How to Return and Resurrect Damned Followers

Here's how to get your damned followers back when they break rank and run in Cult of the Lamb.

The Sins of the Flesh update added a whole list of new mechanics to the thematically titillating roguelite, one of them being damned followers to pair with the new Sin system. In this guide, I’ll teach you how to resurrect damned followers in Cult of the Lamb.

How to Get Back Damned Followers in Cult of the Lamb

Your followers accumulate Sin in a handful of ways, but they can only handle so much. Once they start to float, their eyes glowing, you’ll need to step in and collect some of their Sin from them directly — or have a problem on your hands.

The next step of this process, should you let it continue, is that your Cult of the Lamb follower becomes damned and outright leaves the cult. Don’t worry, though. You can get damned followers back and resurrect them.

To get a damned follower back, you first have to beat it a few times in the same crusade. Usually, you only need to kill them three times in a single crusade to get them to drop some Meat and Sin. That’s a sign they’re finally dead and can be resurrected using the Ritual of Resurrection at camp.

I’ve seen some discussions where some players have needed to kill a damned follower more than three times in a single crusade to get their Meat and Sin to drop, but I can’t confirm this from my own experience.

After you’ve beaten down the damned follower enough that it actually dies and drops its Sin and Meat, you can head back to camp and choose its name from the list when initiating a Ritual of Resurrection. This will bring them back to the cult, and they’ll be back to sinning (but hopefully not too much sinning) in no time.

That’s it for how to resurrect damned followers in Cult of the Lamb. This is only one of many new challenging mechanics to be found in the Sins of the Flesh update. Look for more CotL guides here on GameSkinny.
