Cyberpunk 2077: Dream On Best Choice Guide

As I mentioned above, in “Dream On,” V’s again contacted by Jefferson Peralez after the “I Fought the Law” quest to do another job for him and Elizabeth. Mainly, your task is to discover who the mysterious entities causing bedlam in their lives are.

Since Jefferson is dealing with his Night City Council election, solving this problem is highly important to him. As you investigate, you discover that the unknown suspects (through SSI) are altering the memories of Jefferson, Elizabeth, and several other key figures to turn them into political puppets.

In the culmination of this side job, V lets Elizabeth know that they’re being brainwashed, but she urges V not to share this information with Jefferson as he’s in the middle of a stressful election. Furthermore, V’s optics get spiked by an unknown entity telling him not to cross a line and reveal what you discovered to our mid-election councilman.

A moral choice arises, and V has the option to either:

  • Tell Jefferson the truth.
  • Listen to Elizabeth’s words and keep him in the dark.

Before we discuss the ramifications of these choices, it’s important to note that neither choice has any effect on the game’s story later on. While both choices have different implications, you can pick whichever one suits you without game-related consequences.

What’s the Best Choice in Dream On? Should You Tell Jefferson the Truth?

Let’s discuss the outcomes of the two “Dream On” choices:

  • Telling Jefferson the truth: If you ignore Elizabeth and the mysterious hacker, Jefferson is understandably shocked to hear the awful truth that he is brainwashed. He grows angry at Elizabeth for lying to him and decides to play along with his manipulators for now. It’s implicated that he proceeds to wait for an opportunity to expose these mysterious entities at the potential risk of his family’s lives.
  • Lying to Jefferson: You can also keep Jefferson in the dark about him being brainwashed and let him know that SSI has been receiving money from Weldon Holt. He’ll proceed to deal with his election and Holt later on, potentially never learning the truth that someone is altering his mind.

That’s it for our Cyberpunk 2077 Dream On best choice guide. Whether you decide to tell Jefferson the truth or not is up to you, and it doesn’t have any real story ramifications. For more tips, choice outcomes, and walkthroughs, check out our Cyberpunk 2077 guides hub.
