Cyberpunk 2077: How to Fix the Path of Glory Bugs in 2.0 (Phantom Liberty)

In the culmination of Cyberpunk 2077, presented through the ending of the “Path of Glory” main job, there are some anticlimactic errors that can mar your experience. These include the instant death bug as you’re escorted to the Afterlife and the missing jacket glitch preventing progression. As you may already know, both make completing the quest impossible. But worry not! Here’s how to fix the Path of Glory bugs in Cyberpunk 2077.

How to Fix the Path of Glory Bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 (Phantom Liberty)

Instant Death Bug

The Path of Glory instant death bug is rather annoying and happens just as Delamain wants to escort you to the Afterlife from your apartment. If you proceed to get into the AV, after a few seconds, you’ll instantly get the “Flatlined” screen and die. Here’s how to fix this problem:

• In the dialogue beforehand, select the “Hang On” option.
• Then, before entering the AV, open your Map and close it.
• Now, you can enter the AV.

Players have also reported that besides opening the map before the AV, going to the inventory screen and unequipping and equipping random items also helps. The three steps above should work fine but if the issue remains, try removing your clothing, equipping random items, and then entering the AV.

It’s quite a weird bug with an even weirder fix, but then again, Cyberpunk 2077 is full of them. That said, we have indeed noticed CDPR slowly fixing the majority of these issues over time.

The Missing Jacket Bug

Fixing the missing jacket bug takes an extra step, but it’s nonetheless quite a simple solution. It revolves around the bug where, sometimes, if you loot your end-game mansion and then continue to the secret ending, the game removes your jacket. Therefore, the quest step “Take jacket” is impossible to do, and you can’t complete the job.

You can give yourself the jacket via a console command and continue the quest without issues. Use the Cyberpunk Engine Tweaker console and input the following command without quotes:

• “Game.AddToInventory(“Items.SQ031_Samurai_Jacket”,1)”

This will automatically add that specific jacket to your inventory and allow you to progress through the quest again.
