Dead by Daylight Halloween 2023 Event Guide

The Haunted by Daylight event brings a new zone, new stories, and more to Dead by Daylight.

Halloween is the greatest time of year for horror fans, and 2023 is no except. This year’s Haunted by Daylight event for Dead by Daylight is set to bring back previous costume collections, introduce new content, and gift daily rewards. The event runs from October 18 at 11 a.m. PST until November 6 at 11 a.m. PST on all platforms, we’ll go over everything you need to know about the Dead by Daylight Halloween 2023 event in this guide.

Haunted by Daylight Halloween 2023 Event Guide

Returning for another round, Haunted by Daylight is set to bring new limited time content to Dead by Daylight. This year you get a chance to explore Void Zones in Event Tome 7. These zones are areas where previous Killers and Survivors have been discarded and are now called Haunts. Release them need from the Void to provide you with buffs. In order to get into the Void yourself, you’ll need to collect Void Energy and place it into Unstable Rifts, opening a portal you can traverse.

Haunt Buffs

Released Haunts offer a different set of buffs depending on who releases them. Each perk only lasts for a limited time, so make use of it before it runs out.

Survivor Released Haunt Buffs

  • Haste
  • Endurance
  • Increases speed for Blessing, Cleansing, Healing, and Unlocking
  • Held items are recharged

Meeting with the haunt will grant you another perk of your choosing:

  • Haste
  • Hindered (lure the Killer into the Haunt)

Killer Released Haunt Buffs

  • Haste
  • Undetectable
  • Increases speed for Breaking, Damaging, and Snuffing
  • Reduces cooldown when missing Basic Attacks

Meeting with the haunt as the killer grants you a perk of your choosing, as well:

  • Haste
  • Hindered (lure a Survivor into the Haunt)

Cosmetic Collections

The Void Collection will launch with the start of Haunted by Daylight. It contains Very Rare Outfits for David King, Yun-Jin Lee, and Haddie Kaur designed to reflect their forays into the Void. The costumes feature glowing eyes, ice spike protrusions, and the edge of the items fading into nothingness.

Available starting October 24 is the Hallowed Blight Collection, which features brightly colored Blight Serum boils just waiting to burst. Costumes are included for The Onryo, the Xenomorph, and Yoichi.

Outfits for Meg Thomas and the Knight can be earned by playing through the event tome by collecting Dark Trinkets. These items can be exchanged for Charms and Cosmetics in the event menu. If you earn all of the Cosmetics it will unlock all related milestones for the event.

Tome 17: Commitment

While not directly related to Haunted by Daylight, the latest Tome has been released. Play through new memories revolving around the Feng Min and The Oni’s backstories. New outfits for Feng Min, The Dredge, The Oni, and Adam Francis are included. Four challenge levels come with Tome 17, unlocking Charms as their reward.
