Destiny 2 Meditation Guide: How to Replay Story Missions

Check this guide for everything you need to know about Meditations in Destiny 2!

Destiny 2 has a good, and most importantly coherent, story. However, as you’re going through the game, you can’t go back to play missions you’ve already completed — unless you join someone else who is doing them.

Some people like replaying missions for multiple reasons, such as getting more (or better) loot, grinding experience, and more. So not being able to go back to any of the story missions without a partner can be kind of a bummer. Luckily, you do have a way to replay story missions after you have completed the game — via Meditations.

How to Unlock Meditations in Destiny 2

After you’ve completed the main story and turned in your quests at the Tower, you can go to Ikora Rey for a quest called Meditations. She will have a selection of three story missions to choose from. Select the one you want, then start it from the location next to her.

Destiny 2 Meditation Rewards

Besides being able to replay story missions, you’ll also get Vanguard Research Tokens that you can turn in to Ikora for rewards once you complete each mission. Like other vendors, Ikora will give you an engram every time you rank up. You’ll also want to replay these missions to get better guns and better gear, effectively leveling up your Guardian as efficiently as possible.

There is currently a glitch where you won’t get credit for a Meditation if you complete it without accepting it as your current mission, so keep that in mind before you do them.

You can also only complete three missions at a time — you’ll have to wait before more show up. To make the most of your Vanguard Research Tokens, make sure to check back with Ikora every Tuesday when Destiny 2‘s meditations reset.

That’s everything there is to know about Meditations in Destiny 2. If you have any questions, make sure to leave them in the comments below! And be sure to check out our other Destiny 2 guides while you’re at it!
