How to Get the Aspect of the Void in Diablo 4

At the time of this writing, the Diablo 4 Aspect of the Void solely comes from RNG — or random drops. Basically, you’ll need to find a legendary item that has the “void” affix or description, which means that it already has the aspect applied to it. From there, you can continue using the item. Also, if you want to use it on another gear piece, you can extract it by talking to an Occultist NPC.

Aspect of the Void Effects and Slots

As a utility-type perk, the Diablo 4 Aspect of the Void can only be imprinted on helms, chestpieces, boots, gloves, rings, and amulets. It’s worth noting that imprinting it on amulets will double its coefficient. It has the following perk: “Blight’s defiled area, when spawned, pulls in enemies around the affected area.”

I genuinely think this makes Blight act somewhat like a crowd-control ability since the pull will group enemies closer together. They’ll all take damage over time (DOT) while you blast them with a different spell. Moreover, since Blight has no cooldown, you can continue casting the ability as long as you have the Essence.

Darkness Skill Alternatives

If you’re planning on going for more Darkness spells for your build, then I think the Aspect of the Void is a top option. There are also other alternatives and perks that complement its usage, such as:

  • Blighted Aspect: Deal X increased damage for six seconds after the Shadowblight key passive damages enemies 10 times.
  • Aspect of Decay: Each time the Shadowblight key passive deals damage to enemies, it increases the next Shadowblight’s damage within 10 seconds by X, stacking up to five times.
  • Aspect of the Empowering Reaper: Critical strikes from Sever have a chance to spawn a pool of Blight that deals bonus damage; can only occur once every three seconds.
  • Bloodless Scream (unique item): Darkness skills will also chill enemies; on a Lucky Hit, Darkness skills generate X amount of Essence against frozen targets.

And that’s it. That’s everything you need to know about getting the Necromancer’s Aspect of the Void in Diablo 4. For more tips, walkthroughs, and strategies, our Diablo 4 tips hub has you covered.
