How to Farm for Flickerstep Boots

There are a few ways to get the unique item. All of them require a degree of luck, as they are a random drop from:

• Helltide Chests
• Blood Harvest Chests
• Whispering Tree Caches
• Nightmare Dungeons
• Legion Events
• World Bosses
• Defeating Duriel

The most direct way to obtain them is to summon, and defeat, Uber Duriel. Flickerstep Boots are one of the items that he can drop upon death. You can face off against him as many times as it takes to get the fancy foot wear.

The main downside to this is getting to fight Duriel takes quite a bit of grinding. From defeating other endgame bosses to collect summoning ingredients to being a high enough level to survive the combat, many hours can be invested just to kill him once. However, Flickerstep Boots are a guaranteed item that he can drop, unlock completing multiple Nightmare Dungeons, Legion Events, or opening Helltide Chests for a slight chance to get it. On top of that, if you get them from Duriel they’ll be at 925 Item Power, higher than you can get from other sources.

These boots are made for walking, as attacking reduces Evade cooldown. That’s not even the big draw for Flickerstep Boots. At 925 Item Power it offers:

• .8 second Evade cooldown per attack
• Pact of Ferocity x1
• Pact of Eternity x2
• + to All Stats [10-18]
• +% Movement Speed [10.5-17.5]%
• +% Ultimate Skill Damage [31.5-52.5]%
• % Damage Reduction from Close Enemies [7.0-14.0]%
• Each enemy you Evade through reduces your active Ultimate Cooldown by X [2.0-4.0] seconds, up to 10 seconds.

That’s right. Not only does it reduce your Evade Cooldown, but each time you Evade you reduce your Ultimate wait time. On top of that, your ult damage is increased. I love these boots and hope to get a max roll pair without spending hours farming.
