Having BattleBit Remastered controller support would give you another option when playing the highly popular massively multiplayer FPS from See12Run. Not everyone’s comfortable with using a mouse and keyboard, and I can attest that some console players making the transition could be more competitive with a gamepad. If you’re like me, you’re wondering if BattleBit Remastered has controller support. Here’s the answer.
Does BattleBit Remastered Have Controller Support?
The answer to “Does Battlebit Remastered have controller support” is yes, it does! However, it’s not officially supported just yet. So, what does that mean?
Developer See12Run revealed in a BattleBit Remastered community Steam thread that the game only currently features unofficial controller support, and the feature requires Community configuration workarounds to access on PC and on Steam Deck. In essence, controllers are emulating a mouse and keyboard right now.
However, the development team plans to enable official and complete controller support as they develop the game through Early Access. Despite the planned controller support, aim assist will not be a feature in BattleBit’s controller support.
We will make improvements to controller support, it was just not something we could squeeze in before Early Access launch. As the resident controller player, I’ll make sure it works and is customizable properly. There will be no aim assist however.
For now, you can make use of the available Community Configurations that emulate KBM. I’ve made one myself that works pretty well. Our official implementation will be a lot better.

How to Enable BattleBit Remastered Controller Support
Here’s what you need to do to access BattleBit Remastered controller support in the current Early Access version:
- Open Steam Settings
- Go to the Controller Tab
- Enable Steam input for your controller
- Copy and paste this link into your browser: steam://controllerconfig/671860/2989910468
Lastly, See12Run recommends enabling these settings under Controls in the BattleBit settings:
- Toggle Lean
- Toggle Dragging Players
- Toggle Spring
And that answers the question of whether or not BattleBit Remastered has controller support. While the lack of aim assist is bound to mean that many players will choose a mouse and keyboard over a controller, it’s great that the development team is working on the feature. Whether it be for accessibility purposes or simply preference, it’s always nice to have the option available.
