Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is out a mere two years after the release of the original game. The first game didn’t have peripheral support aside from controllers, so does Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 have racing wheel support?

Does Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Have Racing Support? Answered

There hasn’t been a lot of time between the first and second game, but loyal fans of the original were hoping for some much-requested improvements to the lighthearted racing game. The first Hot Wheels Unleashed was more solid than a Hot Wheels game had any right to be, though it wasn’t without its small issues.

Racing wheel support was a much-requested feature of the first title, as it always is in racing games lacking in it. Unfortunately the sequel continues this trend, as Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 also has no racing wheel support to speak of. The PC community had come up with some workarounds for the first title, but they don’t quite hit the mark, to the extent that PC players are pretty much in the same boat as those on console.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is still a lot of fun with a controller. If it were a more serious racing game, not having racing wheel support would be a bigger deal. But since it’s on the lighter end, most didn’t expect it to have support for it out of the box anyway.

It would be nice if developer Milestone would implement racing wheel support along with other features the community have asked to be added in either the first or second Hot Wheels Unleashed, but it’s not looking like it will be added any time soon. It’s very possible it will never be added to either game.

Now you know whether Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 has racing wheel support. Even if it doesn’t, it’s still a heck of a good time with friends. Look for additional Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 guides here on GameSkinny.
