Echocalypse Scarlet Covenant Tier List: The Best Characters to Pull

Below, I take a slightly different angle with my tier list than you may see elsewhere. Instead of focusing on all of the characters in the game, I’ve selected nine to focus on, putting them in S-Tier, A-Tier, and B-Tier, so that you can go for these over all others. In essence, do what you can to pick them up in Echocalypse: Scarlet Covenant.

S-Tier Characters

Levia

  • Faction: Augustine Empire

Levia is the best support character in Echocalypse: Scarlet Covenant, as she can fully restore her own tuning gauge and those of all her allies. This allows you to use your most powerful skills from the very start of a battle, which grants you a massive advantage over your enemies. I suggest placing Levia either in the front center or as a rear guard. If you place her in the front, she’ll be able to use her critical hit rate buff, and if you want her to be protected from enemy attacks, then place her in the rear position.

Audrey

  • Faction: Augustine Empire

Audrey would be the best alternative to Levia since she also has the ability to restore the tuning gauge of her allies, but only in the rear guard position, providing a similar advantage at the start of each battle. On top of that, she provides her allies with a 100% HP recovery after attacking enemies. This means that you need to place her in the rear guard position to keep her own tuning gauge full and active at all times. I also recommend pairing her with Camilla, since their synergy buffs Audrey’s attack power by 18%.

Kiki

  • Faction: Eastrise

Kiki rounds out my S-Tier characters in Echocalypse: Scarlet Covenant and is by far the best ranged attacker in the game due to her damage multiplier, which allows you to deal extra damage to enemies with 50% HP or less. Also, she’s entirely self-sufficient when it comes to the tuning gauge, which is maxed out automatically at the start of the battle. But since her defenses are pretty low, I recommend placing her in the rear guard position.

A-Tier Characters

Fenriru

  • Faction: Bifrost Industries

All the characters that I’ve mentioned above can only be unlocked via the Gacha system. But when it comes to free characters available by default, there’s no better option than Fenriru. She’s a perfect character for beginner players due to her AoE attacks, which can be well utilized during Exploration mode. Since she’s just as vulnerable as Kiki, be sure to place Fenriru in the rear guard. One could argue — and I would agree — that Fenriru could be at the top of my best characters tier list with a few tweaks.

Nephthys

  • Faction: Nebu Alliance

Nephthys is the best healer in Echocalypse: Scarlet Covenant and a passive attacker. Her main healing ability restores the HP of all allies with whom she shares the same row, so place her in the most populated row for maximum benefit. She also has an offensive passive ability, which burns random enemies at the start of the battle. It’s not much in terms of damage, but it may help in getting that damage in earlier than usual.

Horus

  • Faction: Nebu Alliance

Horus may not be the strongest attacker or a supporter, but she performs one of the most important defensive functions in the game by negating any tuning gauge reduction effects. If enemies start casting these effects on your allies and you have no way to protect them, consider the battle lost. That’s why I highly recommend Horus for any party, as she may single-handedly save your entire game.

B-Tier Characters

Baphomet

  • Faction: Augustine Empire

Baphomet starts off the last set of best characters in Echocalypse: Scarlet Covenant right now. She’s a very strong offensive character that focuses on wide attacks. This makes her very good in 6v6 mode, but not very good in battles against single bosses. Since her damage spreads around, it’s important to equip her with a Resonance weapon for maximum effect. Also, it’s important to place her in the middle so she can use her wide-range attacks more efficiently.

Bastet

  • Faction: Nebu Alliance

Bastet is a very niche character with a specific skill that destroys enemy armor. There are other ways to do this in Echocalypse, but if you encounter lots of enemies with high armor durability, it would be smart to recruit Bastet. She also synergizes greatly with Horus, as both of them can deal 18% more damage to armored enemies than apart. If you decide to pair them up, then place them in the middle row to increase efficiency.

Sova

  • Faction: Bifrost Industries

Sova would be a solid option for anyone who finds themselves in long battles. The longer she fights, the longer she endures; as her passive skill increases her attack power, the more HP she loses. It’s a high-risk, high-reward situation, and if you like that kind of playstyle, then be sure to recruit her.

That’s it for my tier list of the best characters in Echocalypse Scarlet Covenant. Stay tuned for more E:SC tips and tricks articles right here.
