Enshrouded has you journeying in a land filled with both beauty and danger. It’s important to have decent performance to avoid technical issues. Here, I’ll tell you about the best graphics and camera settings for Enshrouded.

What are the Best Graphics and Camera Settings for Enshrouded?

The best graphics and camera settings in Enshrouded are primarily dependent on your hardware and the game’s recommended specs. Performance also comes down to how well-optimized Enshrouded is in EA, and as expected, it’s not perfect. Here are Enshrouded‘s system requirements:

Enshrouded Minimum System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6400 (2.7 GHz 4 Core) / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (3.5 GHz 4 Core) or equivalent
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (req. 6GB VRAM) / AMD Radeon RX 580 (req. 6GB VRAM)

Enshrouded Recommended System Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel i7-8700 (3.7 GHz 6 Core) / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (3.7 GHz 8 Core) or equivalent
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super (req. 6GB VRAM) / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (req. 6GB VRAM)

In my case, I have an Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card, an Intel i9-10900K CPU, and 32GB of RAM, which means I’m well above the recommended requirements. However, I’ve still run into issues.

How to Get the Best Graphics Settings in Enshrouded

If you’re experiencing framerate drops and slowdowns, you can change to the best graphics settings in Enshrouded by opening the menu and selecting Settings -> Display panel. Here are my suggestions:

  • If you have an Nvidia RTX card, choose Anti-aliasing – DLSS and DLSS Quality – Performance.
  • Turn down the Resolution Scale. If you have a native 4K display (i.e. 3840x2160p), lower the Resolution Scale to 2560x1440p (which is 67% of the original setting).
  • Switch the following options down to Performance: Texture Resolution, Shadow Quality, Fog Quality, Volumetric Shadow Quality, SSAO, and Distant Objects.

The above helped me improve performance while playing. Enshrouded‘s landscapes are filled with noxious and corrupted mists, which can cause slowdowns for those with older systems.

What are the Best Camera Settings in Enshrouded?

As for the best camera settings for Enshrouded, it depends on personal preference. Personally, I was okay with the default setting, which you can see in the Field of View option under the Display screen.

You can fully decrease it, which causes the camera to zoom in closer to your character. Alternatively, you can increase it to its maximum level, which is almost akin to having a “fish-eye lens view.”

Taking screenshots using the F12 key can cause momentary freezes. These should only take a second or two, but be careful if you’re in combat or near dangerous areas. I learned this the hard way taking screenshots for my guides.

Those are what I consider the best graphics and camera settings for Enshrouded. For more tips about Enshrouded, check out our guides hub.
