How to Unlock the Saltwater Mines in Fae Farm

To unlock the Saltwater Mines, you’ll need to progress to Chapter 3 of the Fae Farm main questline. You’ll meet Eddy, who says the Whirlpool issue is due to something mysterious in the mines, and he needs your help.

The mines are bound to have some valuable resources, but you’ll also come across some magical foes. So you’ll need to prepare yourself by visiting Vera, the potion merchant, for a health potion. Additionally, mining depletes your energy quickly, so you’ll need to prepare five dishes to finally unlock the mines.

Saltwater Mines Seals

You’ll notice some interesting engraved platforms when you enter the Saltwater Mines in Fae Farm. These platforms are actually teleportation pedestals that you’ll unlock by crafting Seals. Unlocking the platforms enables you to automatically open the door to the next floor and teleport between unlocked levels. In total, you’ll craft 23 Seals. However, as you progress through the mines, the required Seal will change. Hence, we’ve got all of the Seals detailed for you here.

  • Copper Seal

    • Crafting Recipe: x4 Copper Ore.

Saltwater Mines Resources

As is true in many farming RPGs, Fae Farm’s Saltwater Mines are a bountiful source of resources. You’ll harvest ore and gemstones for crafting and profit. I’ve found polished gemstones to be a great resource for Florin, so it’s definitely worthwhile to revisit the mines time and time again. Some NPCs will even send you on fetch quests for rough gemstones, so you’ll want to know exactly where to look. Here’s where to find all Saltwater Mines resources.

Saltwater Mines Enemies

As mentioned previously, you’ll come across some magical enemies in the mines. Since this mine is beachside, you’ll find nautical objects enchanted into Jumbles. While you’ll encounter combat throughout your trips to the mines, I generally find the Jumbles to be more of a nuisance than a challenge. Here are all of the Saltwater Mines enemies detailed.

  • Drecksion
    • Type: Compass.
    • Attack Pattern: Attacks in a straight line once the timed attack meter expires.
  • Tresroar
    • Type: Treasure Chest.
    • Attack Pattern: Triangular AOE attack once the timed attack meter expires.
  • Sinker
    • Type: Anchor.
    • Attack Pattern: Approaches and then hovers above a circular AOE, drops down to deal damage once the timed attack meter expires.
  • Octowheel
    • Type: Ship’s Wheel.
    • Attack Pattern: Spins in an unpredictable pattern, and will only attack if you are in it’s path.
  • Cannot
    • Type: Cannon.
    • Attack Pattern: Attacks in a straight line once the timed attack meter expires. Approaches for a melee attack once the cannon has fired.
