Where to Buy Troll Bogeys

The easiest way to obtain Troll Bogeys in Hogwarts Legacy is to purchase them from J. Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeade for 100 Gold Galleons. The shop offers an array of brewed potions in addition to ingredients and recipes.

Witches and wizards can purchase Troll Bogeys, at an affordable price, but there is a cap on how many items can be purchased. Unfortunately, players can only buy five Troll Bogeys from the shop, but J. Pippin’s Potions does serve as a convenient resource for those who need to get their hands on a few Troll Bogeys in a quick and cost-effective manner.

How to Farm Troll Bogeys

Apart from buying Troll Bogeys, witches and wizards can obtain the handy potion ingredient by defeating Trolls. These creatures are among the most durable foes you’ll face in Hogwarts Legacy, so it’s important to take great care and implement strategic dueling techniques when battling against them.

While tough, Trolls can be defeated with ease when players practice one of two fool-proof methods.

One method for taking down Trolls and collecting Troll Bogeys is to make yourself invisible. This can be done relatively early on in Hogwarts Legacy by using an Invisibility Potion or casting the Disillusionment Charm.

Once concealed, you can approach any opponent and cast Petrificus Totalus while they are unaware. This will render the target powerless, regardless of strength or level, effectively defeating them without cost or taking damage. Sneaking up on a Troll may be a bit tricky without putting a few talent points toward Disillusionment, so it’s best to practice caution when approaching them, anyway.

A great alternative method for defeating Trolls and obtaining Troll Bogeys is to employ the Chinese Chomping Cabbage.

This magical flora item is one of three combat plants that can be used to inflict a huge amount of damage against foes. Including the Chinese Chomping Cabbage, the Mandrake, and the Venomous Tentacula, combat plants can be purchased from Dogweed and Deathcap for 300, 500, and 600 Gold Galleons, respectively.

Equipped with a few Chinese Chomping Cabbages, witches and wizards can either sneak up on Trolls or position themselves on higher ground to deploy the combat plant and watch their opponent fall within a matter of seconds.
