How to Make All Fallout Series Items From Fallout Shelter Update 1.16.0

When it comes to crafting items from the Prime series, you’ll need to obtain the rare or legendary outfit recipe first. Most of the items have a chance of dropping from Lunchboxes, and some can even be found when exploring the wasteland and during quests.

However, if you want multiples of the same costume, you’ll need to craft them yourself. Typically, the longer a Dweller spends exploring the wasteland, the higher the chance of finding rare or legendary plans. The same works for quests, though you can tell if a legendary recipe will be rewarded for completing it.

When it comes to crafting, the best way to cut down on the craft time and ensure the item is made is to assign the correct Dwellers. Each item has its own specific skill, so the required S.P.E.C.I.A.L. can be different from item to item. Once you determine what weapon or outfit you’re making, the stat will show on the room.

Ideally, you want to place Dwellers with that skill maxed out (10) to cut down the time as much as possible. With all six at max stat you can drastically reduce the completion timer, even halving it. However, that’s hard to do when you’re just starting the game.

Outfit Workshop Items

To craft the various attire worn by characters in the show, you’ll need to unlock the Outfit Workshop for x800 Caps. Once built, it needs to be upgraded twice to Outfit Plant, which allows you to make legendary items. You can upgrade it once, but that’ll limit which character costumes you can create.

Theme Workshop

Themes are a cosmetic feature that changes how fully upgraded and merged Diners and Living Quarters appear. Two new designs were introduced in Update 1.16.0 that reflect Vault 33. A fully upgraded Theme Workshop shortens the time it takes for the Dwellers to complete the theme, but it doesn’t impact whether you can craft it or not.

To get Theme designs, you need to collect all nine Theme recipe fragments. These are found while traveling the wasteland and during quests. As soon as the room image is complete, you can assign Dwellers to craft it at the Workshop. When complete, all the rooms it can apply to will automatically change themes.

  • Vault 33 Diner: x2 Toy Car, x1 Yarn, x1 Brahmin Hide, x1 Duct Tape, x1 Shovel
  • Vault 33 Living Quarters: x3 Toy Car, x3 Yarn, x2 Brahmin Hide, x2 Duct Tape, x2 Shovel

That’s how to craft all the Fallout Prime series items in Fallout Shelter after Update 1.16.0. Whether you want your Dwellers sporting Power Armor or like the Vault 33 Diner, crafting them will ensure you have as many as you need.
