There could be a million reasons to leave your guild. I’m going to leave the one I joined in Season of Discovery this evening in a few days since I just joined because of its funny name. Whatever your situation, here’s how to leave a guild in WoW Classic.
How Do You Leave a Guild in WoW Classic? Answered
World of Warcraft Classic is, very obviously, a fairly old game and some of its functionality isn’t the greatest by modern standards. I get it, but it’s what I started the game with back in 2005 and the sort of command usage you see in Classic today was common in older MMORPGs. That’s exactly what you’ve got to do to leave a guild in the game even today: use a command.
There are so many different flavors of WoW Classic on Battle.net these days. With regular Classic heading into Cataclysm in 2024, Hardcore going strong, and Season of Discovery having launched, it can make the procedures for certain things hard to forget for each one. Just hit enter to open the chat window and enter /gquit to leave the guild in WoW Classic. There won’t be any fuss in doing it, but it will send a notification in all the guild members’ chats that you left it. That’s a bit of a given; you’ve probably seen it at least a few times before.
It’s a quick exit that sends a notification to every guild member, but sometimes, it just has to be done. Unlike escaping World of Warcraft‘s icy claws, it’s just as easy to get out of a guild as it is to get into one. The amount of time this game has taken from me is incalculable.
And that is about it on how to leave a guild in WoW Classic. Hopefully, you’re not leaving due to bad blood, but it is what it is. Check out some of our other World of Warcraft guides here on GameSkinny.
