How to Unlock and Evolve the Long Gun in Vampire Survivors

Long Gun is Long. The longest one in Vampire Survivors yet!

Long Gun is the first weapon you’ll probably get your hands on in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns DLC and unlocking its evolution might be a problematic guessing game. However, I’ll explain how to quickly unlock and evolve Bill Rizer’s Long Gun in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns DLC.

How to Get Prototype A in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns DLC

The first step to getting Prototype A, the evolution of Long Gun, is to actually unlock the Long Gun. This is done by surviving for 15 minutes with Bill Rizer at any stage (Bill Rizer has it as a starting weapon, so you might as well evolve it while you’re playing him). Here is how to unlock Bill Rizer. If you’re a seasoned Vampire Survivors veteran with all Power-ups purchased and a couple of Golden Eggs, this shouldn’t be a problem. If you’re just getting into Vampire Survivors, here’s what you can do to make your life less difficult:

  • Invest in regeneration, health, and armor power-ups for survivability purposes.
  • Invest in cooldown, damage, and experience power-ups for damage output purposes.
  • Invest in Golden Eggs. They are 10,000 Gold a pop!
  • Play in Hurry Mode. It passes the time twice as fast.

The second step is to actually evolve the Long Gun. This is done by having Long Gun at its maximum level (8), having that new briefcase item called Weapon Power-Up in your inventory, and then picking up a Treasure Chest. Prototype A summons two little drones that will provide support to you until the end of the run.

Long Gun shoots bullets in the direction your character is facing.

  • Level 2: Reduces the cooldown by 20 milliseconds.
  • Level 3: Reduces the cooldown by 20 milliseconds.
  • Level 4: Reduces the cooldown by 20 milliseconds.
  • Level 5: Increases the Base Damage of the weapon by 5.
  • Level 6: Reduces the cooldown by 20 milliseconds.
  • Level 7: Bullets can successfully pass through one more enemy.
  • Level 8: Reduces the cooldown by 20 milliseconds.

How to Unlock Lance Bean in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns DLC

After you evolve Long Gun into Prototype A, you will be able to purchase one more popular Contra character called Lance Bean. It will cost you less than 900 Gold, so hooray for the budget sale of the Operation Guns DLC characters. You probably won’t have “money issues” when it comes to buying the characters from this DLC.

I invite you to check out our next guide, which will help you evolve Lance Bean’s Short Gun, as well as unlock another cool character (spoil yourself if you need to). You can always check out our Vampire Survivors game hub for more coverage of Operation Guns DLC.
