We’ve seen a bit about what we can expect from Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, but they are continuing to give us little teasers leading up to the release. One of the latest teasers reveals a potential character skin coming to the season, and it looks a lot like an iconic character from another hit game. Here are all the details!
Fortnite Wrecked – Potential Junker Queen Skin
Fortnite is known for its huge collaborations with movies, TV series, streamers, and even other hit games. With its little teaser for Chapter 5, Season 3, “Wrecked,” we got a look at potential character skin coming with the new season, and it looks an awful lot like Junker Queen from Overwatch 2.
Junker Queen is an Australian tank character in Overwatch 2. She’s a brutish female with a punk-ish style and muscles for days. Although it isn’t officially confirmed as Junker Queen, the biggest giveaway here is the iconic spikey mohawk hairstyle and pauldron with spikes on her shoulder. We know that Junker Queen’s New Junk City and Junkertown maps are very Borderland-esque. Plus, they have plenty of sand, fitting nicely with the upcoming season theme. It’s even more likely that she will show up for those reasons. However, she’ll likely be an extra skin you can purchase in the shop and not included in the Battle Pass.
If it’s not Junker Queen, the comments on the post have a ton of other speculations about who it could be. A few fans suggest electronic musician Scandroid since their cover art has a very similar mohawk and cyberpunk look. Others believe it isn’t a collaboration but a look at a new character design that fits the Mad Max theme. However, one of the most hilarious of all speculations is that it could be JoJo Siwa. Since her notorious music video look features a similar mohawk and style. Funnily enough, it’s one of the most believable of the bunch (besides the likely Junker Queen).
If we’re being real with ourselves, though, the most realistic of the possibilities is Junker Queen. The silhouette matches her completely, from the hair and brow to the cuffs on her ear. It’ll be the perfect collab for the season and a great addition to the Gaming Legends skin styles. It’s a skin that I would get in a heartbeat!
We won’t know for sure until Epic Games releases an actual announcement or until it pops up in the game with the new update. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to find out since the new season hits this Friday, May 24, 2024.
