How to Get More Vestige Moths in Lords of the Fallen

There are a few ways to get more Vestige Moths in the game, they are as follows:

  • Found as regular item loot while exploring, though these are quite rare.
  • Purchased from Molhu in the Skyrest hub.
  • Dropped by Moth Mimics when slain.

How to Purchase Vestige Moths from Molhu

Molhu is a mysterious NPC in the Skyrest hub, and he’s found along the left-hand side of the building. To see him, you need to switch to the Umbral realm by bringing out your Umbral Lamp and holding the button prompt.

Each Vestige Moth costs 1,500 Vigor, the basic currency that’s also used to level up. As such, I don’t recommend buying this type of item at all. In my experience, I found grinding XP/Vigor to be quite a slog. I really did not want to waste my hard-earned resources on consumables.

How to Get Vestige Moths from Moth Mimics

I feel that it’s better to gather Vestige Moths from enemies known as Mimics. These insectoid creatures initially appear as glowing loot orbs. If you attempt to pick up the item, they’ll eat you alive. This usually results in your character’s death, which means you’ll get instantly teleported to the Umbral realm.

To kill Moth Mimics, you’ll want to take note of the glow from the loot orb. Then, use your Umbral Lamp’s Soulflay action. Slaying these creatures rewards you with an extra Vestige Moth, too.

How to Use Vestige Moths

If you have a Vestige Moth in your inventory, simply select it and choose the “Use” command. You’ll get teleported to the last waypoint that you tagged, including those created by Vestige Seeds. This is particularly helpful in areas where you see a lot of enemies, or if you’re running around in the Umbral realm with a lot of Vigor and you don’t want to risk it.

That’s it: that’s everything you need to know about how to get more Vestige Moths in Lords of the Fallen. For other tips and tactics, you can visit our LotF guides hub.
