You start with a handful of characters in My Hero Ultra Rumble, but maybe not some of your favorites. Six heroes on the MHUR roster are locked, and you won’t be able to use them until you complete certain prerequisites. In this guide, we’ll go over how to unlock characters to add to your roster in My Hero Ultra Rumble.
How to Unlock Characters in My Hero Ultra Rumble
You can see exactly what you need to do to unlock a few characters in MHUR in the Special tab of the License menu. You can find the License menu at the top of the main menu.
You unlock characters for free by ranking up your Special License, which is separate from your Season License. The Season License functions more like a Battle Pass, while the Special is more like your general progression. The six characters and their Special License rank requirements are:
- Rank 2: Katsuki Bakugo.
- Rank 3: Shoto Todoroki.
- Rank 4: Tsuyu Asui.
- Rank 13: My Compress.
- Rank 15: Himiko Toga.
- Rank 30: All Might.
It might not take too long to unlock Bakugo, but the EXP requirements per rank are very high. Perhaps even too high to unlock Toga while you still have an interest in the game, not to mention All Might. If you want to unlock the higher rank characters, it might be best to spend your Hero Crystal on EXP toward your Special License.
Plus Ultra Gacha Characters
It’s also possible to unlock characters from the Plus Ultra Rolls. The current characters in the Plus Ultra gacha:
- Eijiro Kirishima
- Momo Yaoyorozu
- Ibara Shiozaki
