How to Get the Blood Moon Ursaluna in the Teal Mask DLC

Perrin’s Pokedex Challenge

To start the quest for the Blood Moon Urasaluna, you have to talk to Perrin. She can be found in Mossui Town near the Community Center. Perrin won’t be hard to find since she has a Hisuian Growlithe next to her. Once you talk to her, she’ll tell you that you need to catch 150 Pokemon from the Kitakami Pokedex

If you’re like me and don’t usually catch every Pokemon you come across, this may take a while. However, the best way to catch the 150 Pokemon is with Quick Balls. Quick Balls have a x5 catch rate on the first turn so you’ll be able to catch most Pokemon without having to battle them. If you don’t catch them on the first turn, just run away and try the Quick Ball again. This is faster than trying to get the Pokemon’s HP low enough, especially if they’re a higher level.

Perrin’s Photo Challenge

Once you’ve caught the 150 Pokemon, Perrin will ask you to meet her at the Timeless Woods. After you talk to her again in the Timeless Woods, she’ll tell you to wait for the fog to set in. When the fog comes in, Perrin will challenge you to take pictures of 10 different Pokemon in the forest. Make sure to crouch and move slowly so you do not scare the wild Pokemon away.

Fight the Blood Moon Ursaluna

After the photo challenge, the Blood Moon Ursaluna will appear. Ursaluna is a Ground and Normal type. Make sure to have Fighting, Water, Grass, or Ice attacks on your team as they are all super effective. It’s also helpful to paralyze Ursalua with an attack like Stun Spore. If you have trouble with the fight make sure to bring some Revives and Potions with you. Once you defeat the Blood Moon Ursaluna, you can catch it. Now it’s yours!

That’s how to get the Blood Moon Ursaluna in the Teal Mask DLC. Make sure to use Quick Balls to catch the 150 Pokemon, move quietly for the photo challenge, and use super effective moves when fighting Ursaluna. For more tips and guides, check out our Pokemon Scarlet & Violet guides hub.
