Remnant 2: How to Get the Navigator Helm

Obtain the cool-looking Navigator's Helm in Remnant 2.

Gunfire Games’ Souls-like has a plethora of seemingly hidden weapons and armor pieces strewn throughout the campaign and Adventure mode. Some are locked behind progression or beating the game at certain difficulties. However, others are dropped by bosses or secreted away in one of the five worlds. One looks like the helmet worn by the Dreamer boss in From the Ashes. Here’s how to get the Navigator Helm in Remnant 2.

How to Get the Navigator Helm in Remnant 2

To get the Remnant 2 Navigator Helm, go beneath the Extraction Hub area in N’erud — Timeless Horizon. Then look for the hole in the ground beneath one of the huge pistons slamming the ground.

Due to dynamic campaign progression, you may end up in a different zone of N’Erud, or with a different main quest objective. The pistons may not appear. In my case, I arrived at the Phantom Wasteland, with a quest to find the Seeker’s Keys. Eventually, I reached the Timeless Horizon area, which had the Extraction Hub waypoint close to the center.

How to Go Under the Extraction Hub Fast Travel Point

The reason why the Navigator’s Helm is well-hidden in Remnant 2 is because it’s underneath the area that has the Extraction Hub waypoint. Upon arriving at the location, you’ll notice several gigantic pistons slamming down into the ground. Getting squashed by any of these will instantly kill your character.

You’ll need to find a piston that has cracks underneath. If you look closer, you’ll realize that there’s actually a hole in the ground. Crouch as the piston is being raised, then quickly move and drop down the hole before the machine can flatten you.

Rewards: Navigator Helm, Blasting Cap Ring, and Detonation Trigger

Below is a small subterranean area that’s filled with several zombies that apply the suppression debuff. Take them out carefully and work your way around to acquire the following items:

  • Blasting Cap Ring — +10% explosive damage.
  • Detonation Trigger (amulet) — +25% explosive damage; explosions apply 220.5 burning damage over five seconds.
  • Navigator’s Helm — 12 armor and 8 weight; 2 shock and 3 corrosion resistance.

The Navigator’s Helm is fairly unique since it’s not part of any complete armor set. Likewise, as mentioned earlier, it does look like the one worn by the Dreamer boss in the previous game. If you do need an outfit that matches the theme, you can consider getting the Space Worker armor set.

It’s also worth mentioning that you can get this helmet in co-op with friends. If you have a buddy that has the Timeless Horizon checkpoint in N’Erud — or even better, the Extraction Hub — join their game and let them help you get the Navigator Helm. Indeed, they can pick it up for you, and you’ll get it as long as you’re in their world.
