Fairy tales come to life in Fabledom, usually in the form of events that occur within your territory. From finding Little Red Riding Hood in your forest to dealing with Cinderella’s shoe, there’s always something to explore. But when it’s offered, should you buy the Magic Bean in Fabledom?

Do You Need to Buy the Magic Bean in Fabledom

You have more potential for profit if you choose to purchase the Magic Bean. The Magic Bean is one of several pop-up events that can lead to a fairy tale encounter. When the window comes up to prompt you to choose if you want to purchase the Magic Bean or not, you might consider the immediate reward if your kingdom is struggling.

When you purchase the Magic Bean, you need to place the beginning of a Beanstalk in your kingdom. Then, it’s time to wait. It takes a couple hundred days to grow, and you check the progress by clicking on the stalk. In the meantime, you need to create a Hero and start training them. Only the Hero can interact with fairy tale encounters, so they’ll be required if you want to climb the Beanstalk for the real reward.

Climbing the Beanstalk and Unlocking the Golden Goose Coop

Once you have a Hero and the Beanstalk is grown, select your Hero and have them interact with the Beanstalk. Again, it takes time for them to actually climb to the top of the Beanstalk. So, you’ll need to wait and keep managing your kingdom while you wait for the encounter completion pop-up. When your Hero reaches the top, you earn the ability to place the Golden Goose Coop and exchange grain for coins. This gives you a consistent supply of coins if you need more money.
