Splatoon 3: How to Get Food and Drink Tickets

Splatoon 3's Food and Drink tickets will help you level your Inkling faster. Here's how to get them.

When you first start Splatoon 3, you’ll notice the Crab-N-Go shop in the Lobby. Here you can purchase temporary boosts for your gear and experience, but to do so, you’ll first need to find some Food and Drink Tickets.

Splatoon 3 doesn’t tell you how to get Food Tickets, but there are many ways. The vouchers aren’t plentiful, so you’ll want to use them sparingly once you do find them. These are the best and fastest ways to make sure you always have Food Tickets when you need a little XP boost.

Best Ways to Find Food and Drink Tickets

There are four ways to earn Food Tickets in Splatoon 3. The first is by simply leveling up your Catalog to Level 4. This will earn you your first Food Ticket.

The second is simple but unfortunately the least reliable. Next to the Crab-N-Go, there is a Shell-Out machine. At this capsule vending machine, your first pull of any given day will cost you 5,000 cash. Any additional attempts per day cost a whopping 30,000. While tickets aren’t the only item that you can get from the Shell-Out machine, one pull from it every day will give you consistent chances to get more tickets.

The most reliable way to earn Food Tickets is by playing the single-player Hero Mode campaign. They can be found both in the overworld — where fuzzy ooze will be hiding one occasionally — and in the levels themselves. Vouchers will sometimes drop from enemies or be found in crates, and some optional missions even list Tickets as a reward in addition to Power Eggs. Be sure to keep your eye out for those.

Lastly, some of the capsules that drop as reward for good Salmon Run performance can be exchanged for Tickets. Red Capsules will guarantee you at least a common Food Ticket and Purple Capsules always hold at least one Drink Ticket.

So in review, get Food and Drink Tickets by

  • Increasing your Catalog to Level 4.
  • Interacting with the Shell-Out machine once a day.
  • Playing the Hero Mode campaign (which also gives Hero Gear).
  • Exchanging Salmon Run capsules:
    • Red for Food Tickets.
    • Purple for Drink Tickets.

How to Use Food and Drink Tickets

Food Tickets allow you to purchase consumables that give you bonus experience or bonus cash from matches. Drink Tickets let you purchase items that give bonus XP to your abilities.

You can exchange your vouchers for these bonuses at the Crab-N-Go shop inside the Lobby. It is to the right of the Shell-Out machine. Every boost you can buy here lasts 20 multiplayer matches. You don’t have to do those all at once either. You can log off and the benefits of your active Food and Drink Tickets will still be there when you return. Just know that when you buy a ticket, it immediately becomes active for your next 20 games.

When you log back in, you can check how many matches you have remaining on your active tickets by opening the match menu. Here you can see the number displayed next to your total Cash and Conch Shells.
