The Game Character I Relate to Most

I relate to my Skyrim character most.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

The video game character I related to the most was, of course, my character in Skyrim. Malvadin was his name. If you expected me to say (for example) Ezio from Assassin’s Creed 2 or Joel in The Last Of Us, you’d be wrong.

I relate mostly to the characters I create myself. While there are a lot of other main protagonists in video games that I relate to (as a lot of other people probably do), I just haven’t found anyone that’s just like me.

However, there is Edward Kenway in Assassin’s Creed 4, and Garret from the Thief series, but I only feel their compassion. I have an understanding for all the things that they do, which may, at times, seem a bit unacceptable–I still know for the cause. Still, I can’t relate to them as much as I can relate to my own creation, and after a whole bunch of time spent customizing the character, I feel like if it in some way is like me in an alternate world.
