With the right angles, passing light beams through Connectors and RGB Converters is a breeze, but barriers can complicate matters. Here’s how to solve Through the Door in The Talos Principle 2.

Get the RGB Converter
The Through the Door puzzle places you in a room with a red light source, a Connector, a barrier blocking other rooms, and a pressure plate. Your end goal is to send a green light into the circular receiver at the end of the level. It looked simple to me at first, but navigating the barriers took me longer than I thought it would.
Start by taking the connector and placing it on the pressure plate. This will open up the first blue barrier. Head to the next room, which has a blue light source, a blocked-off area with an RGB Converter inside, and a room with a Jammer. Go into the Jammer room, and you’ll notice the tool is currently keeping the middle barrier open. Temporarily switch it and jam the barrier to the other room with the RGB Converter.
Take the RGB Converter and go back to the Jammer. Switch it to jam the middle barrier again. Then, bring the RGB Converter to the main room. Replace the Connector with the RGB Converter on the pressure plate.
Connect the Light Beams
Take the Connector over to the blue light source you saw earlier. Link the light to the Connector and place it right next to the middle barrier. Direct the light into the blue circular receiver so that the barrier stays open without the Jammer. Now you have a free Jammer to use.
This is where I got stumped, as I couldn’t figure out the right angle to pair the Connector to the RGB Converter. Here are the steps I took:
- Jam the first barrier you opened with the pressure plate.
- Move the RGB Converter off the pressure plate.
- Place the Connector where it can see the blue light source and the RGB Converter.
- Use the Connector to link the blue light to the RGB Converter.
Create the Green Light
Go back to the RGB Converter in the main room and link it to the red light source. The combination makes green, which you can connect to the green circle, opening the barrier to reach the progress console.
