Titanfall Parkour: How to Master Freerunning

Want to know how to do some awesome freerunning in Titanfall? Then, check out this guide with video help.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

One of the coolest features in Titanfall is freerunning. There are so many things you can do as a pilot. You can run on walls for a short time, hang on walls, zipline, climb buildings, rodeo Titans, etc. I must say, it is a pretty epic feeling to jump around building, off walls, and end up killing someone during a stunt.

Wall Running – Unleash your inner Ninja

Wall Running in Titanfall is very cool.It can get you higher places, escape enemies, and even help get you kills.

  • If you run and jump on a wall at an angle, you will start running on it for a short time.
  • Make sure you keep moving forward and sprint while doing it.
  • Look for places that have walls close to each other.
  • Hanging walls can also be found around maps that let you get to places you otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
  • Double jumping mixed with wall running will let you travel around the map like a true ninja warrior.

Titan Rodeo – Ride ’em Cowboy

A Titan Rodeo is when a Pilot jumps on an enemy Titan. When you do this, you can shoot the vital systems of a Titan and destroy it.

  • Simply jump at a titan from an elevated place, or double jump from the ground.
  • Be careful not to miss, or stay on the ground near a Titan too long, because you will be instantly killed by the Titan.
  • This is a great way to take down enemy Titans, especially when you don’t have one of your own.
  • Try a Titan Rodeo shortly after an enemy Titanfall. Wait until the dome is gone or you’ll be hurt while doing it.
  • Jump on Titans from buildings, or after ejecting from your own Titan for the greatest effect.

Wall Hanging

Wall Hanging is a cool feature that people often forget about. It is also one of the most helpful, especially in objective-based games.

  • To wall hang, run and jump at a wall like you are wall running, then hold down the weapon aim/zoom button.
  • After a short time, you will start to fall. If you jump to another wall, you start a new wall hang. Doing this lets you hang on walls for an unlimited amount of time
  • Use this on Hardpoint Domination or Capture the Flag to cover an area. Look for high walls above a point or your flag, then kill everyone that comes in without them seeing you.

Ziplining

Ziplines are found throughout maps and helps get you places faster. They look like cables and clearly go from one point to another.

  • Hold the reload button to use a zipline. You can do it as long as you are close to the zipline. Jumping or falling near one allows you to use it as well.
  • Use them in Hardpoint Domination or Capture the Flag to get to the objectives faster.
  • They are also useful for escaping tough situations and getting to hard to reach places.

Extra Tip

There are many things Pilots can do and combining all of these makes Pilots harder to kill than it seems.

I show one of the many unique ways to kill in Titanfall at the end of the video. If you call in your Titan on the spot that an enemy stands, the Titanfall will kill them.
