Wartales Ghost Carcass Use Guide

There are a few uses for Ghost Carcass in Wartales.

Have some Ghost Carcass in your inventory in Wartales but don’t know what it’s used for? Classified as meat and given a food value, it’s a safe assumption that you’d be able to eat it. Surprise: that isn’t the case! Here’s what you can do with Ghost Carcass in Wartales.

How to Get Ghost Carcass in Wartales

Ghost Carcass is a loot item found after defeating a Ghost Pack. Ghost Packs can be found at night in the woods in odd, foggy areas. Either walk into the fog to see if there is a pack or Camp in to trigger a potential ambush while resting.

What to Do with a Ghost Carcass in Wartales

Unlike the Animal Carcasses that you can just eat during Camp, Ghost Carcass is inedible as is.

It is, however, classified as Meat, so it must provide food in some way. With that in mind, there are multiple things you can do with Ghost Carcass.

Make Ghost Carcass into Jerky

The first thing you can do with Ghost Carcass is make it into Jerky. Obtain the Meat Drying Rack blueprint from the Highlands Trackers Camp in Tiltren for 200 Pristine Teeth. To build the rack you’ll need:

  • Cloth x2
  • Wood x9
  • Rope x6

Once you have the components, get your Tinkerer, who is an Apprentice or higher, to build the Meat Drying Rack in Camp.

Add your Ghost Carcasses and wait until they are turned into Jerky. Jerky will provide food and weighs much less than Ghost Carcasses.

Make Ghost Carcass into White Leather

Along with drying Ghost Carcasses to make Jerky, you can also set them out on a Tanning Rack to make White Leather. You’ll need the Tanning Rack blueprint from upgrading Cannibalism via Research or buying it from the Arthes Trackers Camp for 200 Pristine Teeth.

Once you have the original blueprint known, you’ll need to upgrade the Tanning Rack to level 2 via Research before you can use it to make White Leather out of Ghost Carcasses. Your Tinkerer will be able to build it in Camp. One Ghost Carcass will create two White Leather.

Use Ghost Carcass as a Distraction

If you get caught by wolves and don’t want to fight, you can distract them to escape using four Ghost Carcasses. While this isn’t the ideal use for them, getting away instead of losing companions might be your only option as times.

Those are the three uses for a Ghost Carcass in Wartales. If you’re unable to get either blueprint, you can always store your Ghost Carcasses at the Trade Post so they don’t take up inventory space. For further help in Wartales, check out our guides hub
