Where to Find the Royal Hidden Passage in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

TotK Royal Hidden Passage Location

The TotK Royal Hidden Passage can be found in the Emergency Shelter in Lookout Landing. There’s a narrow crawlspace in the hub itself, but this might not be available when you first visit the area. Instead, talk to Purah, which will lead you on a short quest to talk to Captain Hoz in the Gatehouse (more on this in a while).

Upon returning to the Emergency Shelter, an NPC tells you about a strange noise coming from within. Go through the opening, and you’ll be at the starting point.

Tips for Exploring the Royal Hidden Passage

It’s quite worthwhile to explore the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Royal Hidden Passage. That’s due to an assortment of goodies and discoveries. Be aware that entire sections of the tunnels are blocked off by boulders.

You can destroy these by casting Fuse on a melee weapon and combining it with a rock, boulder, or any large blunt object that can crush obstacles. Alternatively, you could toss Bomb Flowers if you have enough. Lastly, it’s possible to use the abilities that you gain after completing the Eldin and/or Gerudo Regional Phenomena main quests.

What Can You Find in the Tears of the Kingdom Royal Hidden Passage?

You can grab a lot of loot in the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Royal Hidden Passage. I won’t detail every instruction or item due to the sprawling nature of the location, but here are some examples:

  • Immediately to your right, you’ll find a Horned Statue that lets you respect your hearts into stamina, and vice versa.
  • Continue deeper, and you’ll see an underground lake. There’s also a pile of rocks with several decayed weapons. If you destroy all the rocks, a Stalnox (i.e., Zombie Hinox) will emerge.
  • As you proceed toward the direction of the castle ruins and main thoroughfare, you’ll realize that you’re just in the underground portion of the area that you visited when you talked to Captain Hoz.
  • This underground portion is crawling with enemies. Still, you could obtain Royal Guard weapons, shields, and even armor pieces.
  • If you want to take a breather, you can use Ascend whenever you spot a low ceiling. This will allow you to, eventually, reach the surface.

The Tears of the Kingdom Royal Hidden Passage is but one particular location that you can visit in this massive game. For other strategies and tips articles, visit our Zelda TotK guides hub.
