The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Hylian Rice can be hard to find. While there are plenty of grains, veggies, and fruit to harvest throughout the game, some have eluded players, including TotK Hylian Rice. You’ll need the grain for various recipes and quests like Gloom-Borne Illness. Here’s our complete guide on how to get Hylian Rice in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to Find Hylian Rice in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

There are two ways to get Hylian Rice:

  • Harvest it.
  • Buy it.

How to Harvest Hylian Rice Tears of the Kingdom

You can harvest Tears of the Kingdom Hylian Rice from the wild in the Rabella Wetlands, at coordinates 2420, -2763, 0222. You can get to the location instantly if you unlock the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower.

To harvest Hylian Rice, simply chop at blades of grass throughout the wetlands with a sword or blade. I’ve found a spear or club won’t work. To pinpoint an exact farming location, I found most of the Hylian Rice in this area at Koto Pond and Hanu Pond.

You can get the grain from grass that’s in the water or alongside it. It took me a few minutes to harvest a bundle of TotK Hylian Rice, so know going in that this method will take a little time.

Where to Buy Hylian Rice in TotK

If you’d rather not put in the work for Tears of the Kingdom Hylian Rice, you can buy it at the general store in Hateno Village. You’ll find the Hateno general store at coordinates 3357, -2152, 0118. One bundle of Hylian Rice costs 12 Rupees, and I found 12 bundles available at a time.

And that’s how to get Hylian Rice in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Considering you have the Rupees to spare, buying the ingredient is less time-consuming than farming it, so we’d suggest that route if you can. There are so many more things to uncover across Hyrule.
