If you’re wondering how to get to Korok Forest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’re not alone. One of the most important side quests in the game involves the area and, subsequently, the Great Deku Tree. It’s seemingly impenetrable, but looks can be deceiving. Here’s how to reach Korok Forest in TotK and make the particularly perilous journey through the Depths of Hyrule

How to Get to Korok Forest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The way into Korok Forest can be difficult to find on your own; I know I searched for some time before uncovering it. You can reach the location by going through the nearby Minishi Woods Chasm, found to the southeast of Korok Forest.

The Way to Korok Forest: Minishi Woods Chasm Location

Minishi Woods Chasm is located at map coordinates (1062,1654,0167), just north of the Woodland Stable. Dive down into the Depths to start your journey toward Korok Forest.

Reaching Korok Forest Through the Depths

Mark the forest with a pin on your map and begin walking in that direction. You’ll soon reach Korok Grove, indicating that you’re heading in the right direction.

Keep going until you see a large structure in the distance. The structure’s spire goes straight up into the earth above the Depths, meaning that you can use this route to travel up with Ascend, unlike most places in the Depths.

On the way to this structure in the center of Korok Grove, you’ll encounter a Gloom Hand that I recommend just running past. I didn’t find fighting the monster worth the trouble and just kept on sprinting past.

Once you reach the structure, you’ll be directly below Korok Forest. Stand in the center of the structure, and use Ascend to, well, ascend to Korok Forest.

And that’s how to get to Korok Forest in Tears of the Kingdom. You can talk to the Great Deku Tree and clear the Gloom from the area by taking on the Phantom Ganon boss. For more tips, strategies, and walkthroughs, visit our guide hub for TotK.
