TotK Riddle and Misko’s Treasure Location

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Heroines’ Manuscript quest has this particular riddle:

“Statues of the eight heroines reside in the desert. Enter the valley carved into Hemaar’s Descent, and shine the light of day upon the towering eighth. The path to the treasure will open before you.”

Hemaar’s Descent is located in the western edge of the map. Specifically, you’ll want to launch from the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, then glide northwest across the frozen mountaintops and ridges. Make sure you’ve got some cold resistance gear and food with you as well.

Eventually, you’ll see the Otutsum Shrine. Continue north to the cliff’s edge. Below, you’ll spot a giant statue of one of Gerudo’s heroines. It’s got a golden plate. The coordinates are: -4392, -0477, 0507.

TotK Heroines’ Manuscript Puzzle Solution

For the Heroines’ Manuscript puzzle, you’ll want to have a Mirror Zonai Device with you. There are several Device Dispensers in the Sky World that have this in their respective item pools. I suggest checking those in the Tabantha Sky Archipelago and Lanayru Sky Archipelago.

Assuming you do have one, don’t bring it out immediately. Instead, take a look at the in-game clock. Ideally, you’ll want to wait until morning or noon. In my case, I arrived in the evening, so I had to make a fire just to advance the time of day.

Once the sun has risen, bring out the Mirror device, then use Ultrahand to push it outward, facing toward the statue’s plate. When you “shine the light of day” via the reflected beam, the door will open. There are several Gibdo enemies inside, but you can avoid most of them.

As for the chest, it’s buried under a pile of sand. You can activate a Zonai Fan in the chamber, then rotate it with Ultrahand to blow the sand away.

Inside the chest, you’ll find the Tingle’s Hood. This completes the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Heroines’ Manuscript quest. Don’t forget to do the other riddles and objectives for the Twins Manuscript and Pirate Manuscript.
