Just Enough Items (JEI)
There have been a few cool mods for Minecraft that have allowed you to quickly get the recipes for crafting and brewing. However, most of them haven’t been updated for the latest Minecraft 1.11 version.
Just Enough Items is what you need -- it’s a quick recipe search engine that lets you see what components are needed to craft items. It is regularly updated and it's super simple to navigate.
