The panel hosted by AJ Mazur, gather some of the most icon voices behind popular champions from the game League of Legends. In one of the most profound panels at Summoner’s Con, it was a treat for both audiences and voice actors to come together for the love of League of Legends. In a humbling comment Adam Harrington, touched audiences stating it is the Summoners that make the game what it is.
Many would wonder how some of the popular League of Legends characters got their voices. In regards to Tryndamere, Brian Sommer let’s us in on his little secret to the Barbarian King.
With a rework of the Karma from top to bottom, first generation voice actress Danielle McRae, tell us the inspiration to the iconic Enlightened One.
Now if you remember the rework to Twisted Fate, you know the addition of the popular Psy “Gangnam Style” dance to the rugged champion. Though have you ever wondered how hilarious Owen Thomas might have looked to make the voices for the Card Master? Now you don’t have to wonder no more! Spoiler, it’s hilarious!
Adam brought us to tears (again), when he clarified the true reference to the voice of Shaco, the Demon Jester. Grab a tissue, it’s a tear-jerker!
Throughout the panel, the voice actors moved us all into tears as many of them are huge fans of the game as well. Faye Mata the voice of Lulu, the Fae Sorceress, was a fan of League of Legends before becoming the voice of Lulu. In an inspirational video (shown below), she reiterates to never lose sight of your dreams and pursue your passions.
If you ever needed verified proof that Sara Anne Williams is the voice of Jinx, the Loose Cannon, well look no more for answers. The video below proves she’s the real deal and not Sarah Silverman. (Let’s end those rumors and give her the credit!)
If you don’t believe voice actors love their champions or the game your highly wrong. In one of her most profound moments in her career, Laura Post the voice of Ahri the Nail-Tail Fox talks about the moment when she realized League of Legends meant so much to her.
One of the most shocking moments of Jason Wishnov’c career, who is the voice of Nocturne the Eternal nightmare, was when he stepped into the Nocturne Theater and the lets went off. What followed suit scared and shocked him!
Being a part of history in the making, Summoner’s Con panel on voice acting really shows that League of Legends is not just a game but a growing movement. What we hope to see is entirely up to funding, but in just its first year, it has proven to have put on quite the performance.
